Earl Forman

CANDIDATE FOR VP Internal

Hello, my name is Earl “Leon” Forman, and I am currently a student at NAIT enrolled in the DMIT: Game Design Program. I am running to be your next Vice President Internal. My journey at NAIT began in 2023. Determined to get the most out of my time here, I joined Ooks Crew, NAITSA’s volunteer team. Through this role, I worked with the Ooks Life team to support events both on and off campus. My commitment and enthusiasm for campus life were honored when I received the NAITSA Volunteer of the Year award. Later that year, I joined the Ooks Life team as an Event Coordinator, continuing my mission to enhance campus life for everyone.

You may have seen me at NAITSA events like Nest Fest, the Ooks Birthday Bash, or one of our volunteer events. My time working with and for NAIT students has been incredibly rewarding, giving me the knowledge and inspiration to pursue this leadership role. I am enthusiastic about making your time at NAIT as enjoyable and fulfilling as possible.

If elected, my priority will be to ensure your time on campus is memorable and meaningful. remembering not just the academics but also the connections, experiences, and growth you achieved here. Postsecondary education is more than just earning a degree; it is about building a solid foundation for your future while also exploring new interests and meeting people. Over the past year, Students like yourself have gotten more involved on campus and I am committed to making sure this level of engagement continues.

In addition to fostering community and engagement, I will focus on addressing student’s practical needs. This includes ensuring there is enough seating and access to device outlets around campus, finding areas of concern, and creating a way for students to communicate with the executive council is another priority of mine, communication is a two street as I like to say after all. Another key focus of mine is supporting student-led clubs, which highlight the creative drive and collaboration of NAIT students, this year has been the best and I will work to ensure these clubs continue to thrive and provide valuable opportunities for everyone involved.

This election also includes the U-Pass Referendum, which affects all NAIT students. While the cost of the U-Pass will remain the same next academic year, in 2026-27 it will be $182.50 per semester & $185.00 in 27-28. Despite these adjustments, U-Pass remains a very cost-effective transit option, saving students hundreds of dollars annually. I’ll work to address any concerns about these changes.

I am excited to meet you during my campaign and hear your thoughts on improving campus life. Whether through the halls or by email at leonforman89@gmail.com, I’m here to listen. Let us work together to make NAIT more than just a school, where memories are made, goals are achieved, and everyone feels that they belong.

Vote for me, Earl “Leon” Forman, and let me make your time at NAIT the best it can be!
