Hello folks!

My name is Tyleen Saison, and I am running for Vp Internal this year!

I am currently a Visual Communications student in the DMIT program. Over the time I have been at NAIT, I have learned so much in and outside of the classroom, met new people, and had fulfilling experiences. Outside of NAIT, I have had the opportunity to lead conferences, keynote, receive awards for my work, and volunteer extensively in my community for years, primarily related to students and mental health. I strive to find ways to give back to my community in meaningful ways, and Executive Council is a great way to bring my knowledge to the table and give you, the student, a voice.

Over the past three years, I have had the honor and pleasure to work on the Campus Activities Board team, both as Club Coordinator and, presently, Digital Media Coordinator. This experience has given me a well-rounded perspective of what is needed by connecting with students on campus and working within NAITSA. As Executive VP Finance in the Womxn of DMIT Club, I have connected with peers and heard about the school experiences from many different points of view. I hope to bring these experiences into the upcoming term to better advocate for student needs.

My goal is to ensure that students have a fulfilling and memorable student experience. Especially over these past few years, students feel more disconnected from the student experience than ever. I believe that NAITSA’s services have been successful through this time, but there is always room for improvement. My focus will be on services and events to enhance the student experience.

If I am elected, I plan to advocate for:

Student Services

  • Ensure study spaces are accessible and easy to use
  • Continue Meet & Greets and events for students to connect with the Executive Council, giving more opportunities to hear directly from you!

Improved Student Experience

  • Improve upon online and in-person events
  • More supports for Clubs
  • Actively work to keep diversity and intersectionality in mind

Student Wellness

  • Continued mental health supports for students (Wellness Wednesdays, MyWellness, Peer Support, and beyond)

I would love to hear from you! If you have any concerns or thoughts on how I can best advocate for you, please email me at

Vote for Tyleen, and allow me to advocate for you and your student experience at NAIT!
