Anubhav Nundloll
CANDIDATE FOR VP External
Hey everyone!
My name is Anubhav Nundloll, and I usually go by Anu.
As a dedicated member of NAIT’s vibrant community, I’m thrilled to announce my candidacy for VP External. I aim to foster a campus that not only meets our current needs but also anticipates and plans for the future of our growing and diverse student body.
I am from the island of Mauritius. You might have met me while I was hosting your orientation session, or handing out treats with the treat trolley, or maybe even at educational booths on campus.
My NAIT Experience:
I am currently in my 4th year of the Bachelor of Business Administration, specializing in Management. During my time at NAIT, I have been fortunate to have great learning experiences outside of the classroom, from being a volunteer and a club leader to being a student staff with both NAITSA and NAIT. I have been an International Peer Mentor, a NAITSA staff working with service hub, an Outreach and Well-being Leader with NAIT’s mental health department and an International Engagement Assistant with the International and Intercultural Community Centre.
What will I advocate for as VP External?
- Representing Our Student Body: Your voice matters. My top priority is to ensure that every student—whether on main campus, online, international, or at our satellite campuses—feels heard, valued, and empowered. Being in touch with the student voice is essential to NAITSA’s success.
- Accessible Transportation: I will advocate for more frequent and direct bus routes to NAIT, making it easier for students to get to campus, no matter where they live.
- Enhancing Satellite Campuses: I will advocate for better facilities at Souch, Patricia, and Spruce Grove campuses, including more microwaves and study spaces, ensuring that these campuses meet students’ needs.
- Prioritizing Your Success: Success requires the right resources and the time to recharge. I will advocate for extended hours for on-campus study spaces and a full reading break in Fall. Extended hours for study spaces provide accessible, safe, and comfortable environments where students can study, accommodating those who need flexible hours. A full fall reading break offers students a much-needed opportunity to rest and reset during the semester, helping to reduce stress and improve overall well-being.
In addition, I will advocate for continued support for mental health services such as Peer Support and MyWellness. I will also support the existing initiatives that promote open education resources to help mitigate the costs of textbooks.
I want to hear your thoughts, ideas, and concerns! Please feel free to reach out and say hi when you see me on campus. You can also email me at anu.nundloll@gmail.com with any concerns.
Make your vote count. Elect me, Anubhav Nundloll, as VP External, and let’s create a brighter, stronger campus for everyone.
